Samhain
The mist rolls across the moonlit ground
The laughter of little children, the only sound.
Branches stir gently in chilling breeze
Sending aflutter the dying leaves.
Trick or treat are words repeatedly said
The words pay homage to the dead.
Hay piles burning in raging flames
Under the gaze of watching Samhain.
In the dark with the spirits abroad
Pagan rites under the eye of God.
Witches and ghost wander in the fog
Black cats screech and croaks of frogs.
The night is a aglow in Lantern's light
All in the glory of this night.
He can see you out there
Trick or treating
In the name of Samhain.
Festivities of death
Candy, eating
In the name of Samhain.
Joyous laughter mixed with wickedness
Made to cover up the deathly sickness
Of pagan rites under Autumn moon
As the waiting dead rise from tombs.
The one night when life and death wed
To bring a beating heart back to the dead.
When the ghostly portals open
And soon the fun will then begin
Parties, the life have never been seen
The crimson flow under the knife's gleam.
Laughter will mix with the sound of screams
Horrors unleashed, reality burst at the seems.
Samhain stares from the void
As things that feast rise from the soil.
He can see you out there
Trick or treating
In the name of Samhain.
Festivities of death
Candy, eating
In the name of Samhain.
So keep your lanterns bright,
Trick or treating
In the name of Samhain.
For the things that slither
Will be eating
In the name of Samhain.
The laughter of little children, the only sound.
Branches stir gently in chilling breeze
Sending aflutter the dying leaves.
