the darker the night the brighter the time

some how i like it when its nice and dark
the fear of night isn't in me
like it used to be

sometimes my thoughts turn to a dark side
something i usually hide

i have scares inside that you can't see
and thoughts that i can't set free

but i feel at peace on a nice dark night
more so than when the sun brings its light

nothing wrong with the day
but i just have to say

id rather be alone looking at a deep dark sky
than laying under a bright sun to wonder why

sometimes fear over takes me
or sometimes sadness either way a cage that wont set me free
but that's just me

maybe better in the future if i make it though the next day
i'm not always sure i have to say

but nothing beats a peaceful night
not even a nice bright light
