Flower
I painted a picture of a flower
in beautiful vivrant colors
hues of purple
with highlights of pink
its strong stem
a brilliant green
upon a table within a vase
refracting light
in a rainbow state
crystal clear
as the water within
did the flower I painted
rest in
I painted the leaves
with veins to see
my brushstrokes flowing
so easily
lifelines stretching to the tips
every detail cast in brilliance
even the hairs that raise upon the stem
to allow the condensation in
each and every line
did I address
relaying my vision
to the canvas
a snapshot from my imagination
came to life as my creation
all the highlights
shades
and shadows
the nooks
and crannies
and the hollows
the table top
and the floor
aged wood grain to
match the door
a dusty window
marred with grim
filters the brilliant sunshine within
in beautiful vivrant colors
hues of purple
with highlights of pink
its strong stem
a brilliant green
upon a table within a vase
refracting light
in a rainbow state
crystal clear
as the water within
did the flower I painted
rest in
I painted the leaves
