Green Lights

I sat outside and didn't care about the weather
The world was over and so was I
No birds flew over me, just like every other day
All I ever wanted was to get better
I know it's hard but I've waited too long
To get her

Broken hearted and a bit sad
Nothing can be this bad
I've been told that a heart can't be mend
But there's always love to lend
But there's always love for you

I knew that you'd go away sooner or later
Nothing worked, why should we?
The signpost's reflecting lights crash on
Green light means go and get her
I know it's hard but I've waited too long
To get her

Well, my body ain't working right
You can leave or I just might
The mist could come and take its turn
But there's always risk of a burn
But there's always risk with you
