Ah, okay. I see what you mean. And perhaps it makes more sense to change will-less into willing. Perhaps I'll try that. Let me think about it ... *think*.
Thank you so much for your constructive and kind comment!

It's certainly NOT your slow mind, Gabriel, it's just the difficulty in the detail :-). Brains work differently and I'm glad and grateful you put so much effort in it! You could have simply given up and "turned the page" :-).
Thanks for being so constructive and patient with me ...

I surrender to your poetic charms,
some melodies now unknown become
unto themselves in time

The moment of unity
and the -sometimes -
unknown path
to it.
Thank you so much for your
lovely comment, Liz!

you cause me to ponder, Chi. 'melody unknown': so the music of lovemaking must be untitled...

Or just a novel
composition of notes
which have never been
arranged to a
melody before ...
Thank you so much
for pondering, John :-).

You're welcome, dear and gifted Vee. Thank you so much! Even if the melody's unknown we instinctively know how dance to it :-).

At first "will-less skin" may not make sense - in the circumstances you describe I would think "willing skin" but can make sense if the reader interprets it as lacking will to resist...
A short, sweet, sensuous verse.

re: Re: Surrender - Senryu
Exactly, Solomon, I thought about the lacking will to resist but in the meantime I realized by my reader's reactions that it has an ambiguous and not fully understandable touch. I hope there were second reads, too :-). Your criticism (and from others, too)and thought-provoking impulse is very helpful for me! Thank you so much!
