Image for the poem True

True

Enraptured as I remain by the infinite crescendo of her cascading beauty

How can I forgive the Ocean from keeping you from me?

The pearl of my life

Forever out of reach

Wave after wave

Curling assault always trying to press me to the dry of land

Away from the one that could love me forever

Away from the little lass I could swoop up in my arms

Carrying us both into the dream of our own creation

Into a canvas of star scattered skies

Releasing my body to the mercy of cutting blue waters

Floating nearly motionless

Moving only with the intimate breath of the currents

The truth seeps in revealing the blame to lie within myself
