Standing In Line

She says she's fine but I know she's tired
From all the years of standing in line
Now I could say that I believe
At least I know I will until she leaves
It seems like I'm having an adventure
I guess it'll start when I go and get her

Your head will spin until you start moving yourself
I never thought I'd be the one that fell in love first
I acted as if I were to think this through
But my heart it screams that it wants to be with you

You can only be true to certain point
Brand new life, brand new paint
These changes don't mean a thing
If you're not wearing your ring
Will you save me from being free?
Or will you let me act as if I were me?

You said you'd stay, but you're walking away
And you promised you'd keep me awake
I feel like I don't grow old with every year
Maybe it's because death I don't fear
Is it wrong if I want to waste my time?
Is that what they call a victimless crime?

Your head will spin until you start moving yourself
I never thought I'd be the one that fell in love first
I acted as if I were to think this through
But my heart it screams that it wants to be with you
My heart it screams for you
