Shades of blue

He painted the skies blue but we never look up. He gave us purpose and strength but our dreams of freedom are bounded by our weaknesses. The  schedules has replaced the spiritual ' and still we continue to live in a pool of self-indulgence, desire, lust and gratification. Long gone are the days of generosity and going barefoot so that another may tread lightly.

Capital, Investment and stock Exchange are the three new commandments. The only cure for our malady is to pretend that we aren't materialistic and the to continue aimlessly along the futile circularity. What a pity that lives are wasted because nobody has the time  or the will to look deeper than the static surface. Even i can't see the core. I try though, because i don't want to merely exist. I want to live but some of the pieces are missing. Simetimes light shines through the inconsistency of it all and i see a glimpse of the blue skies

we don't look into the past because who wants to learn from a past of war and misunderstandings. We should look pas that though, right in the beginning, before all this deplorable folly began.' man was at peace with himself and his creation.

Unfortunately we are not in Jerusalem, we are here. We are beneath polluted nuclei and are next to huge, attractive shopping complexes. Our wallets grin, investor search for more, more satellites emerge with more television channels but our soul ache. Why connect networks across continents and oceans when we can't even communicate with ourselves?

The buses go on and motorists drive aimlessly along the free-ways. The passengers will all look on forward, never within themselves or up. They'll all look on past one another, past God, past everything.

In the end, when all has been bought, all's been spent and all has been tried and tested, we'll cry hardened tears that will fall through our emaciated fingers. Maybe then we'll be rid of the dirt and grime blinding our eyes. Maybe then we'll once again see the blue skies .
