haiku times two...

doubly good poem,
had to read it twice,
for good measure

the nights after the pubs
are quiet lend themselve
to sudden voices out of
the dark, sudden footsteps
under the railway tunnels,
suddenly not knowing if
what your hearing is
threatening or not...and
I'd only stopped for a
cigarette......:)

It's interrelated while able to stand on their own.
The last two lines are quite haunting, leaving much to question.

the silence of 3 am makes
you wonder if the few sudden
sounds that you hear are of
now or echoes of long ago..:)

e motion
of
untenable dreams/lives

London - I love that city so much!
Yes, there are places
as dark as a lost soul.
Don't stop to listen to the
sounds of the night!
This poem reveals such
a haunting atmosphere!

I know what you mean
about not listening to
the cries in the night,
but in certain moods
I am unable to walk
away, but stand in
dread and a type of
fascination...thanks,
