Goodbye

i slip into the cold unforgiving water
knowing that ill never see you again
i grasp my necklace tight
and look back one last time of what im leaving behind
then i let go of the ledge
knowing i cant swim and let the black water slip over me
i do not scream
i do not cry
all i do is say goodbye
i inhale the water
feel it fill my lungs
feel the panic rise
but i dont fight it
i welcome the pain
welcome the darkness that fills my vision
i hear faint screams and  shouts
finally my lungs give out
i slip into my final darkness
not wishing for anything else
just for the pain to end
i do not scream
i do not cry
all i do is say goodbye.
