DO I NEED SOME GLASSES
DO I NEED SOME GLASSES
I don’t suppose I’ve ever thought, about these eyes of mine
Since I was just a kid they’ve always, worked for me just fine
Riding on my bicycle, or swinging to and fro
My eyes they help to guide me, wherever I may go
The colours of the rainbow, grey clouds just floating by
A golden sun that’s shining, a pale moon in the sky
Pictures of a holiday, with family and friends
My eyes they see so many things, their work just never ends
So many books and papers, with pictures to explore
A billion lifetime images and looking out for more
When eyes get tired they tell me, they ache and sometime weep
And when they’ve worked excessively, they rest while I’m asleep
My eyes have started changing now, I have to hold things close
My eyes need some assistance, so it’s glasses I suppose
