The Tree
A tree is standing tall and dark
Two names are scratched within its bark
From this tree a long branch stems
Just a shadow of one of the limbs
This hidden branch is hollowed out
Filled with secrets, lies and doubt
Inside are moments shared with him
I know I should saw off that limb
For if this branch was ever found
The mighty tree would be cut down
Two names are scratched within its bark
From this tree a long branch stems
Just a shadow of one of the limbs
This hidden branch is hollowed out
Filled with secrets, lies and doubt
Inside are moments shared with him
I know I should saw off that limb
For if this branch was ever found
The mighty tree would be cut down
