Praying Endlessly
Struggle creates perfection, A diamond from the roughest boulders
How could I fear life or death, When fear is the fuel on my burning heart
Pumping through my veins, I consume burnt out hearts to feel the same
I shake hands and they shake their head, My face is on every missing poster
A broken child, A tortured home, You want out, You want peace
Failed your parents, Failed school, Failed friends, Failed yourself
Covered wrists, Black clothes, Angry music, Tattoos over scars
Vices up, Broken down, Sent to hell, Praying for heaven endlessly
Caught in a spiral, Wishing for everything, Searching for anything
A friend, A home, A life, A hope, A death, A tear, A breath
You found a bed, You made it, But it’s covered in feathers and your wings are lacking
The world shovels shit and religion, So much bullshit and our backs are breaking
With a world against us all, We must stand tall, Stand strong, And scream
“You don’t know my life, My pain, My dreams, My strife, My soul”
Your heart is your own, No hell can take your honor or paint the mirror black
Your face is your own, No makeup can cover you or replace the beauty inside
We are who we are, Never give in, Be who you are, Never back down
They break you down to feel powerful, They pressure you to sell your soul
Who are they to take us out, Who are they to say we could never fit in
Misfits in a misplaced world, We must stand together to survive another day
How could I fear life or death, When fear is the fuel on my burning heart
Pumping through my veins, I consume burnt out hearts to feel the same
I shake hands and they shake their head, My face is on every missing poster
A broken child, A tortured home, You want out, You want peace
