Lover's Town

There's been a murder
at the edge of town.

A girl lays outstretched beneath the
starry blanket of night.

The killers silhouette engraved on the
town's heart.

Wealthy men's swimming pools full of the tears
of melancholy brides of the war,
we must jump in and prove it's safe,
prove it to ourselves at least.

Old wives tales down by the river,
cleaning the clothes of husbands lost,
they hate it but they need to clothe their
children..
with the memories.

One girl goes off in search of musical love
to cure the sorrow hanging over the town..
the disease of her century,
martyr to the cause, of course.

She wished to be a trophy,
she got her wish.. She was one of three.
