Sunflower
Look how the sunflower reaches
to touch the shining sun,
it's golden petals stretch to the
clear blue sky,
growing with elegance from the
earth's precious dirt,
Look how the sunflower weeps
and touches the green grass,
yellow fades to brown concealing
it's true beauty,
with bowed head and wilted
leaves it drops it's seeds,
sleeping until the warmth of
summer awakens it,
a graceful flower never to be
forgotten
to touch the shining sun,
it's golden petals stretch to the
clear blue sky,
growing with elegance from the
earth's precious dirt,
Look how the sunflower weeps
and touches the green grass,
yellow fades to brown concealing
it's true beauty,
with bowed head and wilted
leaves it drops it's seeds,
sleeping until the warmth of
summer awakens it,
a graceful flower never to be
forgotten
