Elysian Shores
Home would be where you pull me close,
especially when I'm raging against
the tides of injustice
I somehow imagined
I'd turn.
A silent panacea
of understanding I crave,
blind to how it keeps me
shaking.

Atakti. I'm shit with poetic autopsies and would
love to offer you something more constructive
than this, but. What a great little piece..
Not as small as it would seem.

As john stated, I love the title it elevates the whole poem.

Understanding is craved just because it is so necessary. Your ability to fight injustice is in tandem with your need for "just us." It is not too much to ask, to need, to demand, to hope, to desire, the us that is just.

The feeling of belonging, when one feels whole...
(although partly this can be a bit of a conflict)
Harmony and chaos.....
Really like this poem by you, Atakti!

You saw harmony and chaos... wow. Thank you for your unique insights, as always, Mourganna.
Re: Elysian Shores
I had to google the title (dunce cap firmly fitted) and have to agree with everyone else who said it, the naming of this one is genius it only clicked into place after I knew what the title meant. It brings on a very, very strong sense of longing, and the last two lines bring with them the emotions I would struggle to fit into a mammoth write. Can I get a hallelujah?
P.s this is becoming unfair to other writers. My reading list is practically all you and Hemi now .s

Re: Elysian Shores
I read this poem last week, sometimes it's nice let the words wash over and then come back to it. Then it really sinks in....
I understand.
There's so much complexity in your simplicity. I could write pages of poetry and strip it back, and struggle to find so much, in so few words. You inspire me in so many ways.
It's a beautiful piece, Atakti.
