Know that I wasn't expecting it
because it happened so fast,
but trust me that
it's okay.

Confusion overlays every emotion
thought and action. But
trust me,
I'll hold strong until the end.

I'm sorry it had to go this far
even right after you confided in me.
I should have known; you'll
say it's not my fault but it takes
two people and I'm one-half of the
equation.

You were my first, but please
don't be scared because
I'm not expecting a thing.
I've said so many times that
you can trust me and remember
that is still true.

I just want you to know
that I never thought it  
would happen, especially
with a guy I am so undeserving
of. I hold on to the hope
that you won't run
because I confess that
I wish you would stay.
