Halloween
Three years old
Long black hair
Halloween
My Baby
My Baby taken
My Baby Dead
Handpicked flowers
From the woods
Her favorite
Lying ontop of that cedar casket
It's so tiny, so small
with her lifeless body
It's time now
With each crank
My heart breaks further
As she's lowered
six feet down
To become one with Mother Nature
My heart breaks
As they stare at me
And before I can protest
These men in uniform
Have me cuffed, with disdain
For killing one of their "family"
I am guilty
Though the knife inflicted
Was not by my hand
But because I took my eyes off her
For just a second
Long enough to be taken
I am guilty
Because I knew
The dreams warned me
For three years, they warned me
Three years old
Long black hair
Halloween
And my eyes open
In agony
Because this year
She's three
With long black hair
and it's Halloween
Long black hair
Halloween
My Baby
My Baby taken
My Baby Dead
Handpicked flowers
From the woods
Her favorite
Lying ontop of that cedar casket
It's so tiny, so small
with her lifeless body
It's time now
With each crank
My heart breaks further
As she's lowered
six feet down
To become one with Mother Nature
My heart breaks
As they stare at me
And before I can protest
These men in uniform
Have me cuffed, with disdain
For killing one of their "family"
I am guilty
Though the knife inflicted

But because I took my eyes off her
For just a second
Long enough to be taken
I am guilty
Because I knew
The dreams warned me
For three years, they warned me
Three years old
Long black hair

And my eyes open
In agony
Because this year
She's three
With long black hair
and it's Halloween
