You Were Gone
You stayed for some time
To comfort my being,
To make me feel at home,
To silence the voice
Of loneliness,
And to kill the pain
Of incredulity
I enjoyed your company
It helped to fill
The void between
Humanity, sanity, and I.
But then you were gone
And broke the walls of
My existence once again
Your leave was unbearable
You took away
My very life and soul
When you left.
My thoughts returned
To that same
Cloudy state.
Together,
We rebuilt the bridge
Of trust.
But alone,
You singlehandedly
Killed the instinct
Of love.
Often times I wonder
Why you chose
To enter my life,
Leave your everlasting mark,
Then vanish
As if we
Had never coexisted
I don't need you to live
But without you,
I don't want to live.
The purpose of my
Disingenuous existence
Just isn't sound
Without you here
All that's left for me to do
Is to wallow
In the faint memories
We shared
And bathe in
Our succulent
Experiences
And I can't help but to wonder
"Where did you go?
