Giving Love the Finger!

i don't know what's wrong with my fingers
it's like they're confused
can't function, so sore
broken and bruised
seems everything i love
i lose...

slips thru my fingers
right outta my grasp
my heart squeezes tight
but it still never last
try as i may
i just can't seem to clasp

my hands never follow
my hearts commands
can someone help me understand
what i can't withstand
my need for what's undoubtedly
not in the plans

what's wrong with my hands
why can't they hold on
why must i let go
when i love so strong
my fingers are broken
my grip is gone

my reality is
love always leaves
people die
and im left to grieve
my heart cant take no more
and my mind can't concieve

my spirit is fractured
pieces with no peace
set my fingers in a cast
bury me in concrete
still my broken heart
