That's All
i packed my heart long ago
in a sealed case of indifference
no longer beating to the pulse of words
flowing through reticent hard lips
carnal suasion of interrupted breaths, whisper
midst velvet strokes of quixotic pledges
this lyrical duress undoes my fort
heartbeats morph into submissive urges
like snowflakes floating in a race to the floor
your sweet nothings pile up to enclose it
my fingers can't shovel off your warmth anymore
than my pulse can stop racing, your eyes beckon
kiss me in raindrops that quench deserts
the first dew-tear
on a mourning ripe petal
longing, for her sun's next visit
my ears tingle at your warm breath
electric jolts caress my skin
as sweet words escape your lips
and inject directly into my being
je t'aime you whispered
i look at your face, lashes bowed down
my fingertips buried in your grip
a wry grin consumes you
my adonis
as that moment echoes off the planes of our existence
je t'aime ma chérie
je t'aime,
c'est tout
