EVERYTHING DIES
Hear me now,
“Beneath the sheet of falling rain
I have lost the will to say
Prayers to a so deaf host,
Less of a god, more of a ghost.
I’m tainted by the wheels that spin,
Pain like rending limb from limb.
Cries fall on deaf ears,
Enforcing my fears,
Escalating jeers,
Throughout the years!
I must bare it and scream and pound
To smash my fist into the ground,
Until the very ground shakes
‘Til all here tremble in my wake.
I will lash out to and fro
Seeking my all time low.
I burn the skies
Of all their lies,
Revel in the cries,
Until everything dies!
When I sift through the smoking ashes,
Long after the thunder ceases it’s crashes,
Satisfied, a grin splits my face,
The last man of a dying race,
Happy, alone at last,
No more doors to the past.
I watched it all burn,
Because you never learned,
You were just a worm,
Soon it will be my turn.”
