Even when trapped we can still fly free.
Deep and forlorn. Great haiku, Chi.

Can we? Are we really able to spread and flap our wings behind any kind of bars? First we try ... and give up some day. Or we find the key to the lock, spread our wings and escape (not autobiographical for once but due to a good friend's situation).
Thanks a lot for your great comment, J.!.

Love can be a quest indeed...In some cases its not enough to merely have wings, in others the wings remain broken, a life tale in a nutt shell in this haiku, Chi!!!

Yes, dear Mourganna. The possibility of having your wings broken is immensely high. If you're lucky, you'll escape at least physically unharmed. Thank you so much for your insightful comment!

Your words are timely & hard-hitting for me. Sometimes we don't realize how to obtain this freedom when it's needed the most. Breaking free is what I have to do. I am glad to read this. Thank you.
