Dear shadow

You walk into rooms before I do
Much braver than I
Wish I moved as angelic as you
So strong you never cry
Always ready to take flight
Silhouette of a flawless face
Because in a certain light
At certain angle and place
One can mistake you as a star
If I could hold you in the sky
that's exactly what you are

As the sun creeps you put up a fight
and the day takes over and you are nowhere to be found
In the sun I wish upon the night
And when the night sneeks back and their is no one around
Its you and I warriors of the dark,

Taking off no one but us no where
Maybe listening to music in the park
Or dancing around in our underwear
Your bodies less defined than mine
Hiding all my imperfections
watching on the wall as I comit crime
You don't tell thats why we're closer than my reflection
