A formal challenge

I'd like to formally challenge you
to a duel to the death
or perhaps a spelling bee
and may the best man win...

you sit smug atop your pillar
and judge us whom you deem to be lesser
you cast dispersions but only in hushed tones
as only a cowardly man surely could
simple monosyllabic vernacular reminiscent of moans
as only a coward willfully would
you're a pitifully pathetic pathogenic disease
a humanistic species i've seen time and time again
mentally and physically i could tear you apart with ease
i've dealt with your kind before, and i will again
you're nothing new to me or to any of us
you're a reoccurring manifestation of simplicity
and yeah i'm sure you too have seen plenty of us
whom you'll always look at with your dubiosity
that mentality will get you nowhere
accept ither of my challenges and see
choose an affair in which you feel you'd best fair
then tell me when you think you're ready
guaranteed i'll be here waiting to see
if one so seemingly powerful could beat me
