Fly On Your Wall

(a rough draft of my previous posting)

Broken heart on the floor
Fell out of place from where it belongs
I want to pick up the pieces of your soul
And help you find the strength to be strong
I'm hearing every thought in your head
Echo through my entire being
Visions of the hurt that you've been through
Are the only things my eyes are seeing
And I know this pain
All too well
It's gonna be okay
That's all I want to tell

And this room vibrates
From your pain

Sound waves of your tear drops
Bounce from your pillow to my hands
As I collect your thoughts my heart throbs
Longing to do all that I can
To take all of this  away
But here I stay
Observing
Silently lurking
Sat here catching tear drops
As they fall into my lap
I'm trying to figure out how to use them
To get you back on track

Because it's killing me to watch you die
Feeling your heartache from the inside
Trapped in this space of time
Where your pain becomes mine
I'm just a fly on your wall
Listening to your heart call
And though I truly understand
I'll never be able to give you a hand

Loving heart inside your chest
It exists in whole no more
Lost within the scattered mess
Of all the love you had before
The promises you believed
The truth you found in lies
Affection that kept you warm at night
Once kept tears from your eyes
And now it is the cause
While your life gets put on pause
And all I do is watch
Hearing your every thought
Wishing I could make it stop
But knowing I cannot

Because I'm just a fly on your wall
And you don't know I'm here at all
