Before the drop
Gray smoke released from my mouth like dangerous, winding, coils waiting to embrace me.
I let it take me.
Higher, past the stars, further than the eyes can see.
What goes up must come down.
Who will catch me?
Who will carry me and bring me to safety?
No love. No one cares.
Down, down, down, tumbling down.
Realization sets in, I will hit the ground.
I'm at peace with that.
I fall without a sound.
