Messenger Of The Night
o' messenger of the night
the sun will soon turn off his light
so let the pale moon say goodnight
o' messenger of the night
don't wait for the sky to turn white
close the curtains for it will soon be too bright
o' messenger of the night
why awaken with such a fright
when you befriend darkness with
creatures of whom that bite
my dear messenger of the night
don't clench your teeth for you shall be alright
put your black faltering words in a jar
and screw the lid on tight
