Divorce
You’re never here when I need you
But you complain that you never see me.
You left this home 2 years ago
It’s official that now its over.
I said you had to go
If it would make you happy.
I couldn’t deal with the tension.
I’m happy you moved on
Even that I have a new father.
But every now and then
I need you, my mother
To be right here with me
To tell me that it’s all ok
To be the rock you used to be
To help me deal with my life.
I know why you left him
I know why you went
I know you were never happy
Except when you were at his.
I’m happy that you’re happy
But I have to tell the truth
When you left him, you left me.
But you complain that you never see me.
