Justice is Blind, (Not in a Good Way).
The Halls of equity
Aren't as bright
As they were in bygone
Days in time
They've lost their luster
and appeal thru erring
away from the truth that
is real
No longer shines hopeful
system from wherein is
supposed to issue grace
But only injustice and
bribery and blinded-eyes
covered by payment awarded
to personal plies
Standing robed in purest
white w/ arms out-stretched
With sword and scales hanging
from hands
Symbolic of weighing-out
every mans right and wrong and
cutting to the heart of the matter
to award him accordingly
for what he's done
She should now be robed in
red, purity is long gone
covered by blood-stained hands
Eyes wrapped not because she
sees not lucre
But because she has been bound
and allows all vices to fuck her
Lift up her robe to take a peek, (she doesn't mind)
And tell me what can be seen
She is unclean
Her purity's done been bled-out
Become every perverse whims desire
Only now good enough for the pyre
Aren't as bright
As they were in bygone
Days in time
They've lost their luster
and appeal thru erring
away from the truth that
is real
No longer shines hopeful
system from wherein is
