aboard

(I wrote these for my boyfriend during the week I was away sailing on tall ships)

Poem 1.
Watching the light of another day disappear and fade. Makes it diffcult to deal with the distance . The disapperance of the life giving light remonds me of the time that has not been spent in your presence. I yern for your touch. I crave the silken waves of your worried voice. I need to know that truly in your heart you do care for me. I want you to chase away my insecurities and fears. I am terrified of losing you . I just hope the feeling is embeded within you too.

Poem 2.
The sky open and wide.
Doesn't compare to the feeling of being by your side.
The vast deep blue ever changing and true.
Stays near me as my heart does to you.
And when the sun sets. Its what I think is best. To have you on my mind my thoughts will not leave you behind. I raise my withered fragle hand to the cage that contains my heart and I know from the start. That the rythmic beat from my own heat lie in sync with the beats of yours at dusk.
