love poetry for the bored and angry

sipping tea on tuesday afternoon
i came across another love poem
bemused i browsed its lusty lines
another torrid affair in ones mind
presented plainly on the page
projected casually into my eyes
i sit and think
why write this thing
would it really do to simply
write a poem for one unknowing
to make an overture of love
anonymously in a website forum
or express oneself through stilted words
i cannot see the point in that
im sick and tired of such things
yet i will never make a change
to rework such poetry in my style
would be more akin to hate than love
