Running From Confession
I'm always running, running fast,
You've destroyed to much to turn back.
And I have let you touch my soul,
My heart is yours,
Forever yours to hold.
Why do you chase me down?
When the few nights I admit my love,
Has turn to lust.
Beneath sheets of white, in a world,
A secret mind, no one sees.
Was it not enough?
Your words have taken a deadly shape,
And they are tearing me apart
By teeth and nail.
They are ripping from me all I protect,
Leaving me vulnerable,
Without my bravado.
What more should I do?
The streets are long and there's no hope.
Must I turn around and face you?
Or am I simply,
Inside my frantic dreams,
Running from myself.
You've destroyed to much to turn back.
And I have let you touch my soul,
My heart is yours,
Forever yours to hold.
Why do you chase me down?
When the few nights I admit my love,
Has turn to lust.
Beneath sheets of white, in a world,
A secret mind, no one sees.
Was it not enough?
Your words have taken a deadly shape,
And they are tearing me apart
By teeth and nail.
They are ripping from me all I protect,
Leaving me vulnerable,
Without my bravado.
What more should I do?
The streets are long and there's no hope.
Must I turn around and face you?
Or am I simply,
Inside my frantic dreams,
Running from myself.
