Honey in the Flames

Honey in the Flames

Amber and aureate flames frolic to the echoes of our dance
With her looming above
We bathe in the very waters we ascended from and she descends upon come eventide
Our very skin lacquered in her honey, so we rejoice

She passes o'er gently
Never in condescension even whilst we be on our knees
And the world thinks us unworthy
She simply whispers to us in honeyed tones

A perpetual voice of uncorrupted  innocence that sings with the cockcrow
We may fall but we're not yet broken
It's all hard to learn but we're not yet bewildered
And when the final lullaby is sung
We'll  simply end where it all begun
