Love in Reality

Why try to fight for something you know you'll never have?

After all, we never get what we want.
We all like to think that love is beautiful.
Yes, love is great,
love makes the world go 'round.
But love also kills.

Love can hurt and destroy what we thought,
was so perfect in our eyes.
When in reality,
love is like a dirty sin,
waiting to consume us.
It looks so perfect and tempting.

Well as soon as you love,
you can't escape it's clutches.
As soon as you say,
"I love you",
it's like you've just said to the devil,
"take my heart."

Love is beautiful,
but love is what drives people to craziness,
to hurt and destroy.
Love spelled backwards sounds like,
"evil."

Yet despite loves flaws and consequences,
we were all born to love.
