The Risk

My feet glide over the soft sand
I stop & stand still
The wind rocks me
eyes open, I take one step forward
two steps back
one step forward
inhale
exhale
Baby steps...
I reach the cold surface
My body shivers
inhales
exhales
we connect
My body loses the fight and I am smiling uncontrolably
The sun welcomes me
I bathe in its luminous glow
I find heaven and I taste it
Im comfortable
relaxing
I'm having fun
I submerge into the unseen
It's a new world...
new shapes
new sounds
new feelings
Im scared
I retreat
I look around and then I stare straight ahead
SMACK, we crash
out of nowhere I'm blindsided
I fall onto my backside
shaken,speechlesss, abandoned, betrayed, confused
my tears are invisible
my pain goes unnoticed
the earth is spinning
I gasp for air
I find hell and I swallow it
I reach for my heart
my heart is throbbing, crying, bleeding, beating....
it's beating
my heart is still beating

I stand up
I reach for my heart...
