If I had a Say
I wake to find another day
Scared of the spirits that come to play
The little whispers that stray
Towards me as they delay
They whisper of their rules
Sounding like a bunch of fools
They can`t be here or their
They tell me to be fair
Not a shadow on my wall
Standing ten feet tall
Not a crow at my window sill
Trying to catch my attention still
Not a monster under my bed
For me to dread
Yet around me they swarm
As they whisper without form
Creating quite the storm
As I watch them perform
Up and down my walls
The spirits shadow falls
Then I find one even nearer
Standing in my mirror
So what to do with the lost ghost
That I now host
Should I hide them under my bed
Just monsters to dread
Or walk with them today
If only I had a say
Scared of the spirits that come to play
The little whispers that stray
Towards me as they delay
They whisper of their rules
Sounding like a bunch of fools
They can`t be here or their
They tell me to be fair
Not a shadow on my wall
Standing ten feet tall
Not a crow at my window sill
Trying to catch my attention still
Not a monster under my bed
For me to dread
Yet around me they swarm
As they whisper without form
Creating quite the storm
As I watch them perform
Up and down my walls
The spirits shadow falls
Then I find one even nearer
Standing in my mirror
So what to do with the lost ghost
That I now host
Should I hide them under my bed
Just monsters to dread
Or walk with them today
If only I had a say
