Dream on Dreamer
Do you even understand
How much these lyrics strip
Slowly becoming bare
As each syllable slips
The phrases show more and more
Who I am
What I stand for
Alas
I am not one for boasting
So my notions
Will never part oceans
And wise men will say
And, of course, be praised
Dreamers will say
And those will be their last words
These facts make it harder
To fall asleep
In this amusing yet frightening world
When the mad men and leaders
Share the same face
Oh let the turmoil unfurl
This truly is
A sphere of fear
And it grows
Like shadows at sunset
With each passing year
How much these lyrics strip
Slowly becoming bare
As each syllable slips
The phrases show more and more
Who I am
What I stand for
Alas
I am not one for boasting
So my notions
Will never part oceans
And wise men will say
And, of course, be praised
Dreamers will say
And those will be their last words
These facts make it harder
To fall asleep
In this amusing yet frightening world
When the mad men and leaders
Share the same face
Oh let the turmoil unfurl
This truly is
A sphere of fear
And it grows
Like shadows at sunset
With each passing year
