Doubtfully Optimistic

Is it universal or woman specific?
Her new man she finds terrific.

Two days together a weekend splendid.
They make dinner, they make love, talk into the night two hearts blended.

They laugh, go for a drive and walk along the beach holding hands.
No different than other lovers in other lands.

He tells her she's beautiful and like no other woman he's known
and says it all in a believable tone.

She pulls him onto her bed,
kissing him all over and giving him exquisite head.

Then gets on top and plunges down on him slowly, then accelerates the motion,
feeling irrevocably bonded with him, lost in her momentary madness of devotion.

And in the morning before he leaves he kisses her one more time.
She watches him go and wonders: Will he call her or be like the others and put her out of his mind.
