How could I Not?

I laugh to myself,
about her question asked
"Daddy, do you love me?"
My response to her, with my eyes I cast

"How could I not?"

Her sweet kisses shower me like rain
In my days of grey, they ease my pain
The hugs are really great too.. I'm just sayin'
My little one I adore, and don't mind relayin'

"How could I not?"

The times she misbehaves are truly few
But hey that's my girl, so what do I do?
Firm sound in my  voice sometimes I resort to
Then comes her look...Oh god, now I'm through!

"How could I not?"

I'm such a worry wart, is she okay? thoughts creepin'
Can't count the times I checked on her while she's sleepin'
Jokin' out loud.. to that 'make believe' crowd
"Who wants this kid for a buck?"
"DADDY!" she says out loud.

"You said you loved me..."
I say come here, and hold her tenderly
Repeating many times how much she means to me

"How could I not love you, my little stinker?"
"You're the best I got...

So you never need be concerned
Love you I do, and... how could I not?"
