You're Still a Person (Not Superman)
You're still a person;
And I wouldn't dare let myself stand right now.
I'd fall and shatter into pieces like a mirror
And you'd step on me trying to get the glue
to fix me.
I'd cut your foot open and Ta-da!
Your mode of transportation is maimed.
You're still a person;
You can't fix everyone else if you're limping around.
Fix yourself because
repairing others can break you, too.
Love yourself;
You need it.
Maybe I need it too.
And I wouldn't dare let myself stand right now.
I'd fall and shatter into pieces like a mirror
And you'd step on me trying to get the glue
to fix me.
I'd cut your foot open and Ta-da!
Your mode of transportation is maimed.
You're still a person;
You can't fix everyone else if you're limping around.
Fix yourself because
repairing others can break you, too.
Love yourself;
You need it.
Maybe I need it too.
