Walking
down
a random street

in
an
unimportant city

through
the woodsy
wet
of October

I happen upon
an unfamiliar
man

who shares
 aspects
of your unique
countenance

my heart flutters
like a moth
caught
on ancient flypaper

because
in that brief
moment

I surrender myself
to the
memory

of heady pungent incense
(you know)

and the time
you
carried me
on your back

among
all those
who had passed on

and
in that long
forgotten moment
I remember

what it felt like
to be
loved
by
you.....
