Oblivion World
My eyes had shined bright
The moment I awaken
I thought the earth was kind
But I suppose I was mistaken.
I was just a young girl
In my hands my innocence
Invaded by rotted vines
Holding on with selfish dependence.
I'm a girl who cries at night too
An aimless shadow in the rain
Unseen by mortals in this world
Unaware of such cruel pain.
I have lived half a life
When a beast devoured my heart
And all my young naivety
And all tortures came to start.
"Thou art thy salvation"
I am nothing now that lacks
This mistress of oblivion
This world of pitch black.
The moment I awaken
I thought the earth was kind
But I suppose I was mistaken.
I was just a young girl
In my hands my innocence
Invaded by rotted vines
Holding on with selfish dependence.
I'm a girl who cries at night too
An aimless shadow in the rain
Unseen by mortals in this world
Unaware of such cruel pain.
I have lived half a life
When a beast devoured my heart
And all my young naivety
And all tortures came to start.
"Thou art thy salvation"
I am nothing now that lacks
This mistress of oblivion
This world of pitch black.
