Silent emptiness

Your index finger covered pursed lips, but not
Your shallow, soulless, emptiness,
Your silent voice did not muffle the words you did not mumble
Your act was succinct, my tear filled memory taken me to the brink
You swallowed my misery, bereft you left me hollow
You were nowhere to be found
You slipped away in silence, as my pleas echoed inside
You
