Image for the poem Dogged by Desire

Dogged by Desire

As he circled her

Sensing

Knowing

Smelling

So aware

No understanding required

Instinctive

Driven

She waited

She longed

She submitted

With excitement

Reservation

Arousal

Fear

The feelings could never be fully done justice in words.

Her mind turned to the camera

The camcorder she had set running moments before

She felt his touch

Sensed his maleness

His dominance

His desire

His need

Another twist of the erotic key

Another click higher

Another notch

Another step up the ladder

Drawing the imminent closer

She had to experience this, if only for the present.

She lost herself in her mind now

Buried reservation

Modesty

Morality

Fear

Adjusting her body position

She encouraged

Facilitated

Allowed

Signalled her readiness

His response was predictable, hoped for and base.

He mounted her

His front legs wrapped around her waist

The pads and spurs scratched her sides

Distracted momentarily

Then added to the event

His back arched

He probed

She yielded

All her submissive instincts flooded her being

So many her needs

So much was needed.

It was more than she had ever imagined

Envisaged

The many times that it had been explored

Enjoyed in her mind

So many ways

So many places

So many subjects

She was lost as she lost herself

Her mind and body gone together

At times in opposite directions it seemed

He completed

Her not knowing, not knowing anything at that point.

They parted and reality returned to the front of her mind at least

Realisation

Juxtaposed with affection

Were guilt and remorse

Her still high body and deep sense of achievement

Felt pressures

Pressures she understood

Indeed expected

She looked into his eyes and no justification

Explanation

Examination

Were needed.

Something that she would repeat

Would bring a repetition of so many thoughts

So many feelings

But always to be balanced

The high end of arousal

Of thrill sought

Would always tip that balance accordingly

Similarly the seesaw could slide very low

But this was hers and hers alone

Hers to choose

Hers to decide

Hers to enjoy

And she would reason thus.
