Luna's Veil

The ocean's swells caress her shore,
a luminous array to his moon's
chalky shadows and twists the salty
allure to depths unknown, to a
frightening mirror.
Yes, that's what the shadows can
do; they paralyze you.
The midnight waters will draw you in,
Her brine will sear your eyes and
Parch your tongue.
Her sands can sweep you
To the bottom and lull
You to a peacful sleep.
Where the pressure is gone
yet is even as present as before
When, then, the winds
Gripped your lungs and swelled
Their gaits to soffocation.
Then, when your skin trimmed
With the cold of the sea.
And here is the peace of the moon.
Still world of water,
And the crushing calm.
