Outside a cartoon

Such antics would put
Tom to shame

My little cat
How ridiculous you are
Staring so imperiously across the room

You ran away once
For two whole months

And when you cam back
Fur glossy and eyes bright

I fed you salmon! (best there was)
As if you hadn't forgotten me

But just now
When you gracefully lept

From your thrown to the ground
You slipped on my paper work

Paws akimbo
Legs pumping
Going no where

I think i have the right to laugh
