Woke Up From A Dream
Woke up from a dream,
You were holding me in your warm embrace
Calming me down so that I wouldn't scream.
My heart would slowly start to race
As you looked into my eyes...
Why did you make me feel so safe?
But it was all a dream...
A fantasy that wasn't real
No matter how detailed and true it seemed.
I miss your loving words,
Your enchanting laugh...
Why did we have to be from two different worlds?
I loved you...
You and your negative flaws,
I just can't believe it's over...
Sometimes I pretend you're still there,
That you didn't break me...
That you so much cared.
I wish you'd wipe away my tears,
Tell me that you'd save me
That you'd protect me from all my fears.
But you broke me...
Shattered my heart
And drove me to a secret insanity.
You left me hallow and vacant,
An echo has taken over my heart...
I feel so cold and ancient.
Why won't you save me?
Why have you left me in pieces?
Don't you love me?...
You were holding me in your warm embrace
Calming me down so that I wouldn't scream.
My heart would slowly start to race
As you looked into my eyes...
Why did you make me feel so safe?
But it was all a dream...
A fantasy that wasn't real
No matter how detailed and true it seemed.
I miss your loving words,
Your enchanting laugh...
Why did we have to be from two different worlds?
I loved you...
You and your negative flaws,
I just can't believe it's over...
Sometimes I pretend you're still there,
That you didn't break me...
That you so much cared.
I wish you'd wipe away my tears,
Tell me that you'd save me
That you'd protect me from all my fears.
But you broke me...
Shattered my heart
And drove me to a secret insanity.
You left me hallow and vacant,
An echo has taken over my heart...
I feel so cold and ancient.
Why won't you save me?
Why have you left me in pieces?
Don't you love me?...
