The Fantastic Lore: 'Man to Plan' Contact 2...

“Two blocks from Straw’s melee, String mounted his attack. He inspired his kin to undue themselves from end-to-end. Shoelaces loosened themselves up and down the blocks. People kicked off their shoes and went running in their socks.”

“The winds of change came so quick. The chaos on the streets was getting”  'thick’.

Then, a breeze blew in an apparently ‘inflated’ bag. It bumped into a mechanics leg, opened up and out marched about thirty disposable rags. The mechanic fell back against a car; he cringed when he heard the words: “charge!”  The bag deflated,
it was ‘Bag’ and elated he laughed out, “We love to barge in on you like this! Hahaha!!!”  The customers quickly scrambled. The phones rang off the hook; a mailman walked in and Bag laughed, “Sorry pal, this shop is already booked!”

“Bag swelled up, and filled with hot air. The Rag Gang smeared oil everywhere. String’s voice could be heard through a window to an alley. “We have traveled across the valley, O’ people! You have failed to be in touch with what truly matters. So,
we are going to watch you scatter. Tarry here no longer! This is now our town. Be out of this place before sundown. Hahaha!!!”

Loud crashes, and thuds made bystanders shake. And gossip spread rapidly, “It’s an earthquake!” People grabbed clothings, and other goods (but nothing in cans—they finally realized the sifting sands).

Cars honked their horns, and gridlocked the streets; signs fell from stores in rows like sheets. Sirens rang out and people yelled, “It’s terrible, but what can we do?!?”

“You should have asked that question before!” yelled, a twisted Screw.  He dismounted from a fallen street pole along with over one thousand various screws from other poles with twists and rolls. Screws of all sizes tightened down. Then two huge ‘Screwdrivers’ broke through from
underground.

“Here we are, at your service Screw!” He smiled, “Perfect you two.” Screw, leaped and did a twirl. He flipped to the magnetic tip of ‘Driver 1’ and laughed at a young girl. “You’re not the only one who can swirl, little lady!”

Back at the Auto Shop, the place was wrecked. The mechanic cried on the floor about all the oil checks. He wondered how in the heck he’d repair the mess they left. He reached to the floor for a rag not yet stained with filth…but it dodged him, and said,
"No sir! I was left here in 'stealth.'
My job is to report back that you’ve cried over your lost wealth. Ta-Ta! Here’s to your rotten health: honnnnk!!!” (The little rag pretended to be blowing a nose). “Sorry, I can’t stay…!” Then swiftly, he slipped away.

“Yeeeeees! This is going very nicely. I mean I really love what I’ve seen. What a scene! What a scene! And I thought people could be mean…hahahaha! My utensil-at-arms! Hear me!! The revenge of  Straw is
nearing!” Cried String.
A vibration could be felt and heard
in the surrounding neighborhoods. “Screw!?! Screw! Where are you? Come in—break…” Said String (using the old-fashioned, ‘string-through-a-can’ contraption). “I’m close by String. I’m off of your left wing—break…” said Screw. String turned,  and saw Screw with two Drivers and an army of assorted screws spinning in his direction at full speed. Screw spun around and detached him self in mid-air with a twist. “String, these folks are all screwed now!” He shouted.”

“Humans are being ousted!” announced a local TV reporter. Then News agencies across the country led with lines like these: “People are being warned to take care! Utensils are rising up everywhere! Our country is being gripped by fear! What’s going on here?!?”
