Forever found
As I starve for one more morsel from your table,
always committed,
always keeping that promise.
I swore I'd always be there for you.
You've given me nothing to hold
No food for my soul
No stone for my soup
And yet I remain.
I'll keep my promise though
Until my soul withers and dies
Until my bones are bleached in this desert
Until my last breath and my last thought are of you
Because I said so
And when I'm gone
When only a memory remains
You'll know
You'll understand finally
That it was real
And that we did in fact find our forever
And you'll be free
And then, so will I
always committed,
always keeping that promise.
I swore I'd always be there for you.
You've given me nothing to hold
No food for my soul
No stone for my soup
And yet I remain.
I'll keep my promise though
Until my soul withers and dies
Until my bones are bleached in this desert
Until my last breath and my last thought are of you
Because I said so
And when I'm gone
When only a memory remains
You'll know
You'll understand finally
That it was real
And that we did in fact find our forever
And you'll be free
And then, so will I
